Is it possible to have a good shopping experience on the Internet...? All I wanted was a new Bellyboat...
Greetings; fellow lure makers. I couldn’t and wouldn’t print this short story if it wasn’t true.
It is the season... and the Crappie are jump’n in Southern California.

We all know that Crappie is not the glamor fish that TV Shows are made of. But; when the bite is hot, it’s non-stop action with a fish fry feast at the end of a great fish’n day.
I can throw a rock into Lake Isabella, located in the Kern River Valley, from my front porch. And; even though I have a 60mph, 20’ trophy for my male ego to show off, parked in the back yard; my Crappie Chariot of choice is a Bellyboat.
There’s nothing like tip-toeing over the tree tops for slab with not much on but a fishing vest and a bellyboat (float tube to some).
After a long, cold winter of being chained to this computer; I checked in with “The Banker” (my lovely wife) to apply for funding a new Bellyboat; one that didn’t need an on-board air pump, and could support my newly gained belly width. I was think’n $200. for a nice one. My loan was approved. Here’s what happened...

I went googling the Internet for a good deal on a new Crappie Chariot. I figured this would only take a minute....But; nope...
I ran into a gauntlet of complicated barriers to placing a simple order for one thing.
The Top 5 PPC Websites: Obvious inflated prices. Next: “FREE Shipping” but, added $27. for shipping at check out. Next: 21 days for delivery. This means: We don’t really have it but, will buy it somewhere, mark it up, and sell it to you. Next: I can’t believe this one...: We sell what you want but, don’t have a shopping cart program so you can buy it now. “Send us a check”. It goes on but, I’ll spare you the reminder of how disappointing Internet shopping can be.
Just when I was about to give up and break out the tire patch kit for another season; I scrolled to the bottom of search page #2. I saw the words “Float Tubes”.

What-ta-heck...? I clicked on the words to discover The Sierra Trading Post. It was an Internet shoppers dream come true. My new Crappie chariot will be here in 3 days and I saved $150. bucks.
This Outdoor Outfitters Website is what Internet shopping is supposed to be: A convenient, money saving pleasure from the comfort of home.
